Welcome to ICURP 2021.
Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP), Country’s apex National Professional Body for Urban, Regional and Rural Planners in Bangladesh, welcomes you to the International Conference on Urban and Regional Planning (ICURP) 2021 with the theme ‘Planning for Inclusiveness and Sustainability in Post Pandemic Era’ which will be held on October 30 - November 2, 2021. Due to the current extraordinary situation around the globe, this conference will be held virtually, which will certainly widen the scope for planners and the professionals from home and abroad to participate in ICURP 2021.
Sustainable Development Goals of United Nations have greatly emphasized on inclusiveness and sustainability and advent of Covid pandemic has even more highlighted the indispensability of making our cities and settlements more inclusive and sustainable for all. Moreover, current pandemic has posed some challenges to traditional planning practices and therefore planning norms and ideas might have some major shifts in pursuit of attaining the goal of inclusiveness and sustainability in post Pandemic era.
In this backdrop, the goal of ICURP 2021 conference is to bring together the planners, professionals, academics, practitioners, scientists, researchers, scholars and decision-makers relating to various fields of Urban and Regional Planning around the world to exchange diverse ideas, share knowledge and explore recent developments in the field of Urban and Regional Planning during this extraordinary time. Bangladesh Institute of Planners believes that ICURP-2021 will provide an excellent forum for exchanging views, information and discussions on a wide variety of Urban and Regional Planning issues, representing the latest development and future trends in planning and development practices in Post Pandemic Era.
