Greetings from Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP).
It is a pleasure to announce that a daylong professional training program titled Drone-Based Mapping and Spatial Data processing for Planning Applications on September 18, 2026 at BIP Conference Hall organized by Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP).
This training aims to equip planning and spatial-data professionals with practical skills in drone-based mapping, photogrammetry, GIS integration, and spatial analysis. Participants will learn to plan drone surveys, process and assess aerial data, and translate drone-derived information into actionable insights for land-use planning, infrastructure development, environmental management, monitoring, and disaster risk reduction—while understanding key safety, regulatory, and ethical considerations.
The training is designed for practicing planners and GIS/spatial-data professionals and senior university students who are interested in applying drone technology, aerial mapping, photogrammetry, GIS and spatial data processing in planning, surveying, infrastructure development, environmental management, disaster risk reduction, and related applications.
All BIP members and relevant professionals are invited to register themselves for the training workshop. The Course Fee is BDT 2500/- (Two Thousand Five Hundred) only for each BIP Member (**Subject to up-to-date clearance of Subscription Dues). The Course Fee for each BIP Student Member is BDT 1000/- (One Thousand) only (Max 5 Participants will be allowed), and the Course Fee for Other Professionals is BDT 5000/- (Five Thousand) only.
